Ian Brown Scholarship for School Of Sound Recording

SSR, one of the UK’s leading audio engineering and music production schools, is offering a scholarship named after singer Ian Brown.

The £10,000 scholarship will pay the fees for SSR’s flagship Audio Engineering Techniques and Technology course in London.

The former Stones Roses frontman said it was “an honour” to be involved.

“I have a long history with SSR from the early days recording with the Stone Roses and I hope the scholarship inspires the next generation of talented producers and artists,” he added.

SSR London Head of Audio Jonathan Espinosa said: “Ian Brown is an iconic figure in the industry.

“It is an honour and a privilege that he is offering his support to SSR and we are so excited at the unique opportunities that this scholarship can offer.”

The Audio Engineering Techniques and Technology course begins in March and September this year. Applicants must be 16 or over to apply.
