KAISER CHIEFS win at Digital Music Awards last night

Kaisers won the Best Artist Promotion Award for the launch of ‘The Future Is Medieval’ at the Digital Music Awards last night. The band collected their award  at the Roundhouse in Camden - and promptly spotted a spelling mistake

If you made it to one of the incredible KC Kirkstall Abbey shows (we’re still arguing over which night was best) then check out Peanuts photos and tag yourselves on Facebook to win a KC tshirt

Right, back to nursing our hangovers….

The Maccabees tickets onsale tomorrow

Dear Everyone,

Firstly, huge thanks to anyone who has come out to see us at our first handful of live shows for a while, a very good feeling to be back playing. Was great to be back at Bestival and especially nice to see Mick Jones still in such good form with B.A.D and PJ Harvey the evening before. On that note we are happy to announce our first UK tour in over a year. The shows, listed below, will be an opportunity for us to play the new songs that we have aired at the last few gigs as well as a few others and a pick of songs off the first two records. Although not yet totally confirmed, we should also be taking out two of our favourite new bands as support.

Our third album is very near completion and expect to hear news on it's arrival in the near future. Until then, we're really looking forward to these shows...

SHOW DATES

Fri 21 Oct Gloucester Guildhall
Sun 23 Oct Coventry Kasbah
Mon 24 Oct Oxford Town Hall
Tues 25 Oct Liverpool Masque
Weds 26 Oct Glasgow Arches
Thurs 27 Oct Edinburgh Liquid Rooms
Sat 29 Oct Nottingham Rescue Rooms
Sun 30 Oct Leeds Cockpit
Mon 31 Oct Manchester Sound Control
Tues 01 Nov London Village Underground
Weds 02 Nov Bristol Trinity

Tickets will go on sale this Saturday 24th September. We have decided to keep booking fees on tickets low by making them available through local records shops wherever possible.

Visit www.themaccabees.co.uk for full ticket outlet information and availability.

You can read the NME review from our Portsmouth show here and the picture below is from a NME photo shoot before the Exeter show. Our third album is very near completion and expect to hear news on its arrival in the near future.

Love,
The Maccabees

The Naked And Famous video is BANNED!!

The Naked And Famous have delivered yet another awesome video for album favourite 'The Sun'. Made by their New Zealand collaborators Special Problems, it features some good nakedness and has already been banned from YouTube.

You can watch it by clicking here

Use your discretion in viewing – might not be a good idea to watch at work..

If you are all up for watching a bit of TNAF now, slightly more appropriate viewing of the band live at Reading Festival is here

PHEW!
